![]() ![]() Revealed: British Museum serial thief 'stole and destroyed nearly 2,000 precious artefacts worth millions of pounds for YEARS without going detected'.So how COULD a child raised by such adoring parents become a serial killer, asks BARBARA DAVIES Lucy Letby's parents shared loving glances with their daughter in court. You're going to have so much more fun if you look at where your baby is right now, what their favourite things are and then have fun with them. Most babies develop normally, that's why we call it normal and normal has a huge variation. You give yourself a lot of worry and grief if you try to make your baby compete with baby Francis who walked at 9 months and baby Annie who said "Mama" at 9 months and completely forget that your baby loves fine motor skill practice and can pick up a single pea at age 9 months. I think if you regularly see a pediatrician, pedes nurse, HV or something similar then you don't need to pay that much attention to milestones because if something is actually concerning they will help you with that. Between 9 and 16 months old a lot of wits develop, less chance of head bonks if they don't walk early. It seems like some odd competition where mums are like "Well little Francis walked when he was 9 months old! I am so proud." as if that is better than walking at 16 months old. Then they get to the rest when they get to it. They are just small humans, they'll find something they like and practice that. Also babies don't read infant development and go "Huh, I am 9 months old now, looks like I should start practicing my crawling skills.".
